Ok, so believe it or not even being a stay at home Mom I just don't have enough time to take pictures of all of my grocery store trips. I have stuck to my new years resolution and I have saved all of my receipts for my trips. I went a little over budget this month, just barely, but I can make it up another month. I am extremely happy with my grocery bill for the month though! Here is how I did:
Total spent: $217.78 plus tax (tax was $17.98)
*$54.45 per week ($50 a week was the goal)
Saved: $245.15
We are on track to spending less, and saving/giving more!

Week #1
Ok! We all know I coupon. I have been using coupons since August of 2010, and I will never go back. By using coupons we have not only saved money and gotten more products for our money, but we have been able to give more. The question people ask me the most is did you really save that much money? My answer: Yes, absolutely. Before using coupons and stock piling my shopping method was to wait until we were out of everything and then go to walmart and fill up a basket, then pay whatever the total came to. We were spending $200+ easily on a weekly-bi weekly basis. One of my new years resolutions is to track my savings. I am doing this with excel on my computer, but I like having pictures to look at as well, and I enjoy sharing. From this point on I will be posting my pictures on here with the details of my shopping trips. My goal is to spend $50 a week, or $200 a month on groceries, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. Everything we need basically. This is my first post because this week was my first chance to go shopping. This week also accounts for two weeks of shopping because I wasn't able to go after having surgery at the end of last month. I bought a lot this week because we were running low on quite a few things after no shopping for two weeks. I hope anyone who reads this enjoys it and I hope it inspires others to save money, not just for yourself but to give to others as well.
Weekly total:$102 plus tax ($2 over budget for 2 weeks)
Saved:$158.95
